Let All That I Am

Psalm 62:5-8 NLT Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.

Sometimes situations are thrust upon us and we have no time to prepare or think things through and things go spinning out of control like a tornado leaving a path of destruction in its wake. Such a situation has come into my life. I have brooded and contemplated and worried till my heart hurts, and in the end I find I am powerless.

I am so thankful that though I may be powerless, my God is able to bear the burden. I may not be able to fix things like I want to, but He is more than able. So I may pick it up and lay it down and pick it up and lay it down again, but ultimately I know no matter what it looks like now or how ever long it lasts my hope is in The Lord and he does not disappoint!
