Comfortable

Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.

Ephesians 3:17 (NLT)

Do you ever feel like you have to be on all the time? I do.

What if I take a day to be off? I’m still thinking I need to be on. I can’t relax. I think someone will catch me in my pajamas and judge me.

I think God will judge me.

My devotional reading today had the scripture from Ephesians, and it hit me, Christ is at home with me. He is comfortable with me, as long as I am trusting in him.

It’s not about performance. It’s about relationship. I want a cozy, sit by the fire, and drink tea kind of relationship with Christ today. And he is okay with that.

Tomorrow we can conquer the world.

Grace & Peace,

Sandy
