I didn’t have something weighing on my heart that I needed to share with the world today. But, something did give me an aha moment earlier this week. It was a scripture that I remember every time I think there is no way I can get myself together well enough to please God.

Here is the scripture:

For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

Philippians 2:13 (NLT)

Such simple words, yet there is so much power in them. This scripture came to mind in relation to why I write. I believe God has given me the desire to write because it pleased him to create me this way. Working forward through the verse, having given me the desire, won’t he also give me the power to flourish as a writer?

Because we are his created beings, sometimes the phrase “just be yourself,” can be a godly encouragement.

Have you discovered who God is calling you to be? What desire has he given you that makes you think, this is what I’m meant to do, this is my passion.? When you find it, lean into God and trust he will be working within you to bring it to fruition.
