Steadfast Through the Storm

My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up in you the power of endurance. And then as your endurance grows even stronger, it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking.

James (Jacob)‬ ‭1:2-4‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I think the Lord is trying to get a point across to me. I’ve quoted this scripture from the ESV in my last two posts. I changed it up today with The Passion Translation. As confirmation for this message, he brought this song to mind: Promises, reminding me to remain steadfast, trusting in his faithfulness.

His message – keep moving forward, forget how far behind I am, and don’t let it trip me up. My plans may have to change, I may have to pivot, but I’m not totally derailed.

I admit that I haven’t yet acquired the absolute fullness that I’m pursuing, but I run with passion into his abundance so that I may reach the purpose for which Christ Jesus laid hold of me to make me his own. I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead. I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.

Philippians‬ ‭3:12-14‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Are you facing a setback? Has something or someone thrown a wrench in the works? Don’t lose hope! Don’t lose your momentum!

Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.

Matthew‬ ‭7:24-25‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Keep building on the rock.

Grace & Peace,
