Because We Are Friends

Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses.

Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭ESV

Please indulge me as I dedicate this post to my dear friend, Domi, as she leaves for new adventures in London.

Dominique means of the Lord, and this is a true honorific fitting her sweet spirit. I met Domi as part of a writers’ mastermind group that was formed in 2019. We are still meeting every month as a group and three of us meet twice a week to support our weekly goals, encouraging and praying for each other, while providing accountability.

Domi is our prayer warrior. She is the one who prays over us voluntarily, and doesn’t restrict her prayers to our set time together. There have been many times Domi has reached out to me with a phone call or a text, and I know for a fact that she does this with the other members of our group, as well.

Domi is also one who listens to the Spirit and then acts. The strength of faith she lives out as she follows where God leads is amazing to me. And that’s what’s happening now as she follows the Spirit into London, England, pursuing her call as a screenwriter.

I thank God for you, Domi, for your faith, your love for others, your sense of adventure, your obedience to God’s voice, and your transparency in your struggles. I picked out a few scriptures that remind me of you and serve as prayer points I will be praying over your journey.

Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.

I Chronicles‬ ‭4‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV

Let the inner movement of your heart always be to love one another, and never play the role of an actor wearing a mask. Despise evil and embrace everything that is good and virtuous. Be devoted to tenderly loving your fellow believers as members of one family. Try to outdo yourselves in respect and honor of one another. Be enthusiastic to serve the Lord, keeping your passion toward him boiling hot! Radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit and let him fill you with excitement as you serve him. Let this hope burst forth within you, releasing a continual joy. Don’t give up in a time of trouble, but commune with God at all times. Take a constant interest in the needs of God’s beloved people and respond by helping them. And eagerly welcome people as guests into your home. Speak blessing, not cursing, over those who reject and persecute you. Celebrate with those who celebrate, and weep with those who grieve.

Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭9‬-‭15‬ ‭TPT

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.

Numbers‬ ‭6‬:‭24‬-‭26‬ ‭NLT

I look forward to hearing about all your adventures and the many blessings and answered prayers God has in store for you.

Grace & Peace (& Love),

Sandy
