Two Together: Friendship

I found such joy in writing my Raindrops series I want to start a new series. If one drop of scripture can help lift depression and calm anxiety, what can two scriptures do? So I decided on the name Two Together. Let’s begin with: Friendship.

Sweet friendships refresh the soul and awaken our hearts with joy, for good friends are like the anointing oil that yields the fragrant incense of God’s presence.

Proverbs 27:9 (TPT)

Dear friends, let’s love each other, because love is from God, and everyone who loves is born from God and knows God.

1 John 4:7 (CEB)

Being a friend and having friends is a spiritual experience. Friends are like soul food, they can encourage us and love on us. They can be a safe place to share our hearts. A friend will stay with us when we are in the pits, and celebrate with us when we are on the mountaintop. Being a friend is a reward in itself, and is always worth the effort we put into the relationship.

Lord,

Thank you for the friends I have
And help me to be a good friend.
Would you bring some new friends into my life?
Help me find friends that I can encourage
And friends that will enrich my life.

Amen
