My One Word for 2022 is Abundance.
How do I feel about that? I am excited and scared. Excited, because who wouldn’t want the promise of abundance in their life? Scared, because what if I got it wrong? What if I raise my expectations and I come away lacking? How silly of me to think that. Even if somehow I misheard God about my word for the year, he still desires to fill my life with abundance. The only requirement for getting my word right is that it meshes with scripture and the scripture I have for my year is:
Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.
Ephesians 3:20 (TPT)
Amazing! Another term for it is Mind-Blowing. He will accomplish more for us than we can even imagine about asking. This is the abundance he desires for us. I’ve read this scripture many times, but I’ve never stopped to take it seriously enough to look deeper. This promise begs me to stretch my dreams, think bigger, ask more, and expect God to do even above that. My finite mind can’t begin to hold it all. This will be my challenge this year and I have more scriptures popping up to add fuel to the fire. I’m getting less scared and more excited by the minute.
You know, I’ve never felt misled by God over the past several years as he has focused my attention with this One Word concept. I look forward to this year, hopeful that I will see a bounty of fruit produced in my life.
What is your One Word for this year?
Grace & Peace,
Sandy
Instead of a word, God gave me a verse for this year!
Philippians 1:6 I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
