Bare-faced Honesty

He knows all about us.

He knows we are made from dust.

Psalm 103:14 (ERV)
Dust

I am dust
Don’t look at me
Depression eats away at me
Holes appearing in my facade
Joy disintegrating
Hope trampled by lies
Filling every space in my mind
Pain seats itself comfortably
I can’t live here in this space
In this cave
Occupied by bleakness

His hand reaches out
Before I even ask for help
He knows I am dust
Yes
Still he loves me
I am not an annoyance
Or a disappointment
He has washed me clean
With the water of his word
He knows me
And he is with me
Always

For he died for us, sacrificing himself to make us holy and pure, cleansing us through the showering of the pure water of the Word of God.
‭‭

Ephesians‬ ‭5:25b-26‬ ‭(TPT‬‬)

Even on a bad day he holds me. It’s okay to be bare-faced in his presence. He is not disgusted or discouraged by our state of mind or our failings. He doesn’t say, “Boy, I had great plans for you, but you blew it.” Whew! Thank you Jesus! His plans are still great, I just needed a hug.

Grace & Peace,

Sandy
