Without counsel, plans go awry, But in the multitude of counselors they are established.
Proverbs 15:22 NKJV
One thing I am learning is that writing should not be a solo endeavor. There are too many unknown territories to navigate beyond and including the actual writing of the story. Thank God for people who have trekked the path before and are willing to share their expertise with others or I would never find my way.
I have participated in numerous online workshops and courses, and this year will bring me to one or more in-person conferences. I have met other writers, calling some my friends. I have been encouraged, prayed for, and taught. Sometimes I get to encourage and pray for others, and one day, who knows, I may be able to teach what I’ve learned.
Thinking about how much I still need to learn can overwhelm me, but holding gratitude in my heart keeps my thoughts on how far I have come and not on how far I have yet to go.
Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NKJV
Knowing we are on the path, with God leading the way, is a great comfort. Knowing he has brought others along to help us, is a hallelujah, amen!
I pray you will find the counsel and companions God provides for your journey.
Grace & Peace,
Sandy
