For Me

‬‬Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Isaiah‬ ‭41‬:‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In my last post, I shared my revelation about how I can get in the way of what God is wanting to do in my life. God is not worried. In Leeland’s song, Way Maker, the songwriter tells us even though we don’t see it or feel it, God is at work.

Thinking of scriptures showing how God works for me, I find so many I have to let some go. Here are the ones that stood out.

I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!”

Psalms‬ ‭32‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭TPT

Ha! Ha! See! I told you I could get in my own way, like a stubborn mule, as other translations say. But I digress. God is right there next to me, instructing, guiding, advising, and leading. He sees the path clearly. I just need to go with him. This same sentiment is also in the lead scripture: God is with me, God is for me.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are represented in this next verse, each one actively looking out for me.

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

John‬ ‭14‬:‭16‬-‭18‬ ‭ESV

Jesus refers to the Spirit as another Helper. I am not an orphan, because the Holy Spirit was sent to help me. I am grafted into the vine and adopted into the family. Because the Holy Spirit dwells in me, I have access to all of God’s guidance and provision for my journey.

It’s not that I am so special or that he is just for me, no, he is for you, too. When you accept God into your life—Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit—you will suddenly realize he has been guiding you all along. And he will continue to do so. Even when you don’t see him, or feel him.

Grace & Peace,

Sandy
