And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39 NLT
Have you ever taken a minute to appreciate this verse?
When I did, I pictured trying to separate stuff, like different colored grains of sand. That may be really hard to do but it is possible because they are separate to start with. Next I imagined God’s love super glued on. That was better and made me laugh, but still possible to separate. My last thought was like a marinade that permeates the very fibers of the meat. That was closer still.
God’s love is like a marinade permeating our very being to the point it becomes part of who we are. We can’t get rid of it, we can’t lose it, and it can’t get stolen or destroyed.
We are loved. ❤️
Think on that for a while.
Grace & Peace,
Sandy
