Just putting it out there. This is a rough draft of a song I’m writing. I just wanted to post something other than all my stuff about depression. I usually post my poetry and such on my other blog, (openingthecreativedoor.blogspot.com) but I usually don’t like to post any songs I write, just in case they ever really go anywhere. This one is more just my personal song so I don’t mind sharing it. One day maybe I’ll be brave and post a video of me singing one of my songs.

Anyway, I just want to say, writing verses and singing songs is when I really feel like me. The me I like. Thanks again for listening.

How many ways can I say I love you?

How many ways can I give you praise?

How many ways can I be forgiving,

Sing new songs worth singing,

How many ways?

How many times will I need your mercy?

How many times will I call your name?

How many times will I need retrieving,

Will I doubt believing,

How many times?

Yet no matter where I am,

No matter what I do,

Your love for me will stand,

And I will stand with you.

So let my spirit lean

Into your arms of grace,

For your blood has made me clean,

And my soul will sing your praise!
