What if I speak in the most elegant languages of people or in the exotic languages of the heavenly messengers, but I live without love? Well then, anything I say is like the clanging of brass or a crashing cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1 – The Voice
That is the part that’s missing for me right now, in this blog. The piece I’m searching for is not approval, or “likes”, or accolades, or popularity, or finesse, or even affirmation. The piece I’m searching for is “mattering”, it’s relational. What do I need of eloquence, or insight, or even good marketing?! Loving, relating, having fellowship, and being able to encourage someone in a hard place through sharing my experiences, that’s my desire.
That’s why I search my site for comments, views, and likes, because my mattering to no one, isn’t mattering at all! You, yes, You! are so wanted, and needed, and loved by me. I want to hear your stories, share your experiences, be there to speak validation into your struggles. You have importance! You have value! This life, this world, is nothing without the connections we form, the mattering, the experience of loving and being loved.
I want to mention I’m reading “The In-Between” by Jeff Goins, not to evaluate his work, because I haven’t finished reading it yet, but to say he made me pause and think about what’s important. I realize the big exciting times in my life are when I am fully loving someone or being on the receiving end of someone loving me. But, I have that opportunity everyday! And if no one is around to love on, I know I am fully loved by God! Amazing, huh! That makes me want to get up and dance! LOL!
If this resonates with you, if you need to connect with someone, if you have a story to share, or even a blog post you’ve written that you knew someone needs to hear, share with me. Let’s reach out together and bring the love to others!
