Stumbling On

As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

Romans 14:1,4 (ESV)

I consider myself to have a deep faith. Yet lately, I feel my path has been full of stumbling blocks, leaving me in a heap of doubts and fears. For one, just when I think I’m doing well, my depression raises its ugly head, causing every other stone to appear ten times bigger.

I call into question my value as a blogger, asking myself why anyone would want to read about my less-than-perfect faith? But then I realize—isn’t that exactly why? I don’t know a single perfect Christian, but I do know Christians who are struggling to live their faith.

If you find yourself stumbling like me, rest assured that God’s got you.

There is no God except the Lord.

There is no Rock except our God.

God is the one who gives me strength.

He clears the path I need to take.

He makes my feet as steady as those of a deer.

Even on steep mountains he keeps me from falling.

Psalm 18:31-33 (ERV)

Grace & Peace,

Sandy
