A wise man is full of strength, and a man of knowledge enhances his might, for by wise guidance you can wage your war, and in abundance of counselors there is victory.
Proverbs 24:5-6 ESV
Friday brought an aha moment. When I was talking about my writing struggles with my writer friend, Jill, she asked if I had read about highly sensitive people or HSP, recognizing something in me that I hadn’t heard of before. She told me about a book and said there was a free assessment test.
I took the test and ordered the book. I scored an 86 out of 100, with 50 being the marker that shows the HSP trait. I’ve been reading a little about it while waiting for my book to arrive. HSP explains so much about the person I am, my quirks and idiosyncrasies. And I’m not alone, one in five people fall within the parameters.
Oh how I wish I had known about this earlier in my life.
But I’m grateful that I can learn about it now and use the information to make the most of this gift, seeing it as a benefit instead of a flaw. I can’t wait to share more once I get my book. I hope to help others like me have their own aha moment.

I’ll take you on this journey of discovery with me as I read through the information and gain a better understanding. In the meantime, consider these words:
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

My sister just found out she was a HSP last year. It has helped her so much.
It sure is helping me.
