Focus

I have been trying, for a couple of years, to focus on my writing. Right now I am signed up for two online courses. (Both of which this is my second attempt at making it through.) The one that is inspiring this post is asking me what my focus is, and to be honest, for a gal who calls herself a writer, I am having an awful lot of trouble writing.

I believe the issue is I can’t get specific and say, “This is what I want to write about.” Because I don’t want to fit into the box! I want to write about God, and food, and essential oils, and being green, and my songs, and my poetry, and my life! Truthfully, I’m a jumbled mess!

So where do I go from here? It’s probably obvious to everyone but me, it is: “In Awe of Him.” Everything I write will be focusing on God. How life looks different when you see it the way God sees it. This is reflective of how I have been writing because this is me, this is who I am and the journey I am on, continually hitting my head against the wall until I get it.

I will be going through some lessons, putting in the work, improving, and adjusting until I find the pocket. So, please hang in there with me, as I share as I go. I’m sure looking back at the journey there will be parts I want to erase, but I’m not one who shies away from being an open book. Hopefully it is a book you will want to read. 😉

Go for it!! Be your own critic — and take it easy on yourself.
No one is perfect — so, do your best, be yourself, and let the chips fall where they may!! You have the God Given Ability to write!! ENJOY!
