Raindrops: A Drop of Hope

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Eternal, “plans for peace, not evil, to give you a future and hope— never forget that.”

Jeremiah 29:11 (VOICE)

When I think about how I feel when I’m depressed, I think of words like despairing, downcast, or hopeless. Words I’d like to hide in a corner, or bury under a blanket. Words that feel heavy. I don’t want these words in my life.

Papa God,

Wrap your arms around me.
Whisper your truth in my ear.
Tell me all the wonderful plans
You have for me.
Renew my hope.

Amen
