For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation].

From this scripture, the name of my blog is derived. It was only by his far reaching grace that I was saved. I didn’t earn it and I didn’t deserve it. His gift of salvation is the greatest gift anyone can receive. The only requirement is faith in the giver of this most precious gift.

God of creation,

I praise you with all my being.
You have generously poured out 
Your grace into my life.
Again and again I am filled with awe and wonder;
Grateful to be yours.
