It scares me to think of diving into old mistakes, (Dark Caves,) and opening old wounds, (Deep Holes.) But as I thought about what I’ve learned, (Hidden Treasure,) I began to see more clearly where my passion lies. What I have is a treasure trove collected from this journey of life, and a heart to encourage others.
The apostle, James, says it this way:
Don’t run from tests and hardships, brothers and sisters. As difficult as they are, you will ultimately find joy in them; if you embrace them, your faith will blossom under pressure and teach you true patience as you endure. And true patience brought on by endurance will equip you to complete the long journey and cross the finish line—mature, complete, and wanting nothing. James 1:2-4 The Voice
My message – If we start by turning to the faith we have now, God will give us the faith we will need, and we can find the hidden treasures of joy in those hard places.

Love your analogies of dark caves, deep holes and hidden treasures … they strike a chord. And your message … “If we start by turning to the faith we have now, God will give us the faith we will need, and we can find the hidden treasures of joy in those hard places.” So insightful! Thanks for sharing the assignment
I especially identify with the treasures part of your message. This is my 2nd time through this course, and I am working on posting more thoughts on my blog. I invite you to go there…www.karynalmendarez.com.
My blog shares why I am writing my first book, Tragedy’s Treasures…
It sounds as if we are on the same path. I am honored to connect with you! Karyn
Sandy,
Really liked this. I feel we are speaking to the same audience. One of my earliest poems is “I Have These Holes.” and I’ll be launching a poetry book soon with the title, “Beneath the Surface.”
Really liked this. Thanks for visiting my blog as well.
Thank you Anne. I have been seeing your ministry at work as I read your encouraging words to all the new “Tribers”. I was glad to hear you on the webinar. I look forward to being in community with you.
I found you! This is awesome! You say so much with such few words. Amazing! I will read more!
